Visas
After
we have registered you for a University course, the University will
issue a letter of acceptance and a form called a JW-202, and then
give them to us, whereupon we send them to you along with our pre-departure
information booklet with lots of helpful information to aid you in
preparing to come to China. With this and the supporting documents
that the Chinese embassy or consulate in your country requires, you
can apply for your visa to come to China to study. It is important
to check with the appropriate consulate and verify that you are qualified
and have the correct documents to obtain a visa. A valid passport
with blank pages and adequate time left before expiration will be
necessary. Once the consulate is done processing your visa, you will
still need to bring the JW-202 and admission notice with you to China.
The website of the Chinese embassy for each country should have either
links to the consulate in charge of your district, or will provide
a contact address for enquiries about visas. Remember that the
Chinese embassy and consulates will also observe Chinese holidays--keep
this in mind when you are arranging the timing of your visa. Chinese
New Year in the spring, the labour holiday at the beginning of May
and National Day at the beginning of October are the main holidays.

there. If you don't see your country listed, try doing a search on
Google
and let us know so we can add your country to our list!
