While we do not include airfare in our services, there are plenty of travel agencies worldwide that can help you reserve tickets to and from Beijing. When you are booking tickets, don't forget to ask about expiration dates, penalties and restrictions, for example, applicable fees if you want to change the return date. If you are buying a ticket with an open return date, make sure you understand when it expires, when you have to choose your return date to still guarantee a seat on a flight, and if the return date can be changed once it is chosen.

Several more tips:

Remember when buying a ticket that the class (not first or economy, but the actual letter class code that is printed on the ticket) of the ticket not only affects the price, but also the ease with which the flight date or time can be changed. This is an important factor to consider when travelling during peak season if you expect to have to change your return date. Some tickets are very cheap but consequently have many restrictions and are difficult to change.

When leaving China there is an airport construction tax of 90RMB (just over 10 US dollars) per international traveller. Flying domestically within China there is a 50RMB airport construction fee for each time you fly.

A good search engine such as Google or Yahoo! will find many travel agents online for you to compare prices. It is also definitely worth contacting travel agents locally in your own country.
